Roots dating back to 1882
Moltzau Packaging’s history dates back to the late 1800s, when Chr. August Moltzau founded Moltzau & Co. in Christiania (Oslo) on the 1st of May 1882.
Over the years, the company has undergone many transformations and changes in order to meet ever-changing needs and market conditions.

Moltzau celebrated 100 years in 1982
Erik Chr. Moltzau and his father Arthur Erik Moltzau are depicted here in the newspaper Aftenposten on the 14th of May 1982, in celebration of Moltzau’s 100-year anniversary. Erik was a 4th generation Moltzauer, and took over as CEO in Moltzau Trykkerier.
In 1983, Eirik Faukland founded the packaging company Engelsrud Emballasje in Sarpsborg.
Moltzau Trykkerier was located at Ammerud in Oslo, as Lars Christian Martinsen started there as an apprentice in 1986.
Change of ownership & restructuring
Christin Faukland, Eirik’s Faukland’s daughter practically grew up in Engelsrud Emballasje, and she started working for Moltzau in 2007.
Meanwhile, Lars had worked himself up and became the CEO of Moltzau in 2008.
2012 marks the year in which ownership was changed from the Moltzau family to Faukland-Martinsen.
